Good management consists in showing average people how to do the work of superior people. - John D. Rockefeller

There is one significant issue that we at Jansons School of Business grapple with, and that is the question of who is suitable to learn management. As a B-school that takes pride in offering management education through practical exposure, we strongly believe that all of us have the sense of ‘managing’ hard-wired in us. It is only a B-school, like JSB, that makes it a point to harness this skill, and polish it in all its splendor, echoing Francois de La Rochefoucauld’s enduring statement that “It is not enough to have great qualities; we should also have the management of them”.

There is also the strong belief that runs through the very vein of JSB: every student who takes up management at JSB should go out into the world of corporate with the unambiguous blend of Knowledge, Skill and Attitude. It is this quest for distinction that sets JSB apart from others, and it is this journey that incites in us the urge to provide the most modern and up-to-date ambience for developing our students into able, determined and helpful members of the business world in particular, and the society at large.

It is true that in this tourney of talents, there has to be a benchmark, and JSB spares no effort to be a benchmark for itself, keeping aloft the ethical standards, set by our primeval sages. What makes studying at JSB a unique experience is this astute merger of the modern and the ancient. We never lose track of this exceptional perspective that we possess, and work endlessly towards providing our students this edge that gives them a much-wanted break in this world of business. And, in the bargain, through our unremitting evolution, JSB ensures that change is the very face of life. This prepares our students to face life with equanimity and level-headedness, highlighting the importance of life-long learning. As Robert M. Hutchins states with extreme fascination for education: “The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives”, we at JSB leave no stone unturned to inculcate in our future mangers and entrepreneurs this thirst for all-time learning.
