Jansons School of Business JSB ICon 2025 – International Conference on Contemporary Research in Business Management was formally inaugurated on 13 December 2025 with an inspiring opening session, featuring a warm welcome by Dr A G V Narayanan, the Director, Jansons School of Business. Dr.Savithri J J introduced the Chief Guest, Prof. Joshy Easaw, Professor of Economics at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, UK, who delivered a powerful keynote on “Institutions & Economic Growth: Current Global Challenges”, shedding light on global economic dynamics and institutional roles. An engaging plenary session by Dr. Sathy Srithar Ph.D., MBA, BA, C.Mgr., C.I.M., Associate Dean, Master of Management, University of Niagara Falls Canada on “Reimagining Business Research in the Age of AI and Data-Driven Strategy”, offered valuable perspectives on how artificial intelligence and data analytics are reshaping business research, strategic decision-making, and management practices. The address encouraged researchers and academicians to rethink traditional research approaches in response to rapidly evolving digital ecosystems. The plenary session was highly insightful and set the stage for forward-looking discussions throughout the conference. An engaging panel discussion was held on the theme “Doctoral Research in Business Schools: Producing Knowledge or Producing Publications?”. The session was moderated by Prof. Ts. Dr. Murali Raman, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU / APIIT), Malaysia, who steered a thought-provoking discussion on the purpose, quality, and impact of doctoral research in contemporary business education. The panel comprised distinguished experts: Dr. Raveendran N, CIO, Sakthi Finance Limited., Coimbatore; Dr. Lishin Moothery Joshy, SCMS Cochin School of Business, Cochin; Dr. Sebastian Joy Panattil, SCMS School of Technology and Management (SSTM), Cochin; and Dr. M V Subha.V., Anna University, Coimbatore. The discussion offered diverse perspectives from academia and industry, prompting critical reflection on research rigor, relevance, and ethical scholarship in doctoral programs. The Paper Presentation Sessions has witnessed enthusiastic participation from researchers and scholars across institutions. Research papers were presented from diverse domains, including Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, and Sustainability, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of contemporary business research. The sessions fostered insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and constructive feedback, enriching the overall academic experience. In recognition of scholarly excellence, Best Paper Awards were presented to Dr.R.Renukadevi and Mr.N.Murugesan for their outstanding research contributions that demonstrated originality, rigor, and practical relevance. The awards reaffirm the conference’s commitment to high-quality and impactful research. The conference concluded with the Valedictory program, where Dr Sunil Puliyakot, Conference Convenor, welcomed the participants, Dr A G V Narayanan distributed the certificates, and honoured the Best Paper Awardees. The event formally concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr.Savithri J J, Conference Convenor, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organisers. |
