An Intercollegiate Talent Fest








Srujana 2K19, the flagship student-led event of Jansons School of Business was a grand success with a myriads of events being hosted by the students. Srujana 2K19, a two-day event, was held on March 7th & 8th, 2019. The event saw 274 students from 30 colleges across Tamil Nadu congregating in the campus. A whooping Rs.2,00,000 as cash prizes were given away for various events conducted.

The participating colleges include Central Law College, Salem, Kongu Arts & Science College, Erode, Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering & Technology, Nagapatinam, St.Joseph's College, Trichy,  Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy, Bharathiyar College of Arts and Science for  Women,  Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal, Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi, and a few colleges from Coimbatore.

Tycoon, the best manager event was the jewel of Srujana and the most coveted title. Mr. Kowshik of GRD college of Arts and Science won the title “Tycoon” of Srujana2K19. He bagged a cash prize of Rs.30,000.

The event Inquizitive quizzed the minds of the participants. The winners and runners were awarded with cash prizes of Rs.15000 and Rs.7500 respectively. The team from Kumaraguru College of Technology was the Winner and the team from RVS College was the Runners-up.

The shutter boxes captured some of the timeless moments in the event Carpe-diem (Photography). PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore, won the first prize of Rs 15,000 and St.Joseph’s College, Trichy, won the second prize of Rs 7,500.

The event Mini Reeler judged “Anjaneri”, the short film by the students of Kumaraguru College Technology, Coimbatore, as the best out of the 23 quality entries that made it to Srujana 2K19. The second best short film Blog, was showcased by the team from NGP College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes of Rs.15000 and Rs.7500 respectively.

In the marketing event, Hawkers, based on the nuances of marketing and sales, some of the best performances from the teams were seen.  Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy, was adjudged First, bagging a cash prize of Rs 15,000. They faced a tough competition from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, which was judged the Second, raking in Rs 7,500 as cash prize.

The auctioning game, Lyong, tested the prioritising skills of the participants. The team from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science was the Lyong-Qi‘s of Srujana 2K19. They were awarded Rs 12,500 as cash prize.

Odyssey, the treasures hunt game made the campus jubilant. The contemporary themes and the hi-tech execution of the event by the students of JSB kept the participants engrossed for the two days. The prize money of Rs 12,500 went to  St.Joseph's College.

The event Novanza had titles like the Best Artisto, Best Chef and Best Theatre Play. An amount of Rs.5000 was awarded for each title. The winners were Ms.Madhumathi of PSG College of Arts and Science, Ms Pavithra Priyadharsini of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science and Mr.Dhinesh, St Joseph’s College, respectively.

Nutso (cultural events) pumped in more life to Srujana, as the competition was tough. Turn it up was the solo song competition and this year two students, Ms Kalyani of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science and Ms Parvathanadhini of PSG College of Arts and Science, were adjudged the best singers. Each was awarded a cash prize of Rs.5000. High Voltage was the group singing event and the team from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science bagged the cash prize of Rs.5000. The solo and group dance competitions made the contestants and the audience sway to the tunes. The winners were from PSG College of Arts and Science and the team from Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, respectively. They were awarded a cash prize of Rs.5000 and Rs.12500 respectively.

In the surprise events conducted, the winners were Aathithiya and team, and won the cash prize of Rs.1500. Remo Godfrey & team, bagged the second prize, of Rs.1000.

The students of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science took home the Overall Trophy of Srujana 2K19.

The prizes were distributed in the Valedictory Ceremony on March 8th, 2019.

The grand success of Srujana 2K19 is attributed to the excellent coordination and exemplary organising skills of the students of Jansons School of Business.
